Brittany Berg, DVM
Veterinarian
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Berg, one of the newest members of the Decorah Veterinary Clinic family!
She grew up in the Coulee Region and went on to earn her veterinary degree at Iowa State University. She now lives just outside of Decorah with her two fur babies – a black cat named Toothless and a border collie/ blue heeler mix named Laney.
Although she loves both cats and dogs, she especially loves working with cats – even the spicy ones!
Dr. Berg is proud to be a Fear Free Certified Professional who has been trained to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in pets so they can enjoy better visits at the vet.

Jaimie Elsbernd
Veterinary Assistant
Jaimie started at the clinic in May of 2019 after finishing school at NICC that spring. She grew up just outside of Calmar. Jaimie grew up enjoying playing with her dogs and cats outside. Her whole life she knew she wanted to work in the veterinary field. This became more clear when her dog, Millie, shown in the picture, got sick and needed medical attention. Jaimie enjoys getting to know everyone and their pets.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, loving up on her fur babies, Pepper and Binx, going to the races, gardening, kayaking, hiking, walking dogs, and pet sitting.

Skye Borcherding
Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant
Skye joined our team in May of 2023. She grew up in Southeast Minnesota. Her love for animals started young on her grandparents' farm; surrounded by horses, cats and dogs.
Her family adopted what she calls her “heart dog”, Shyloh, in 2008. Shyloh instilled more of a love for animals than what she had already.
She currently resides in Mabel with her two cats, Hazel and Walter.
Kayla Holthaus-Willis
Receptionist
Kayla joined our team in August 2023. She grew up on a dairy farm outside of Decorah. She's always loved working with animals both big and small, and spent many years as an A.I. Technician for beef and dairy herds in Northeast Iowa.
She lives outside Ridgeway, where she and her husband Jonathan raise beef cows and run about 250 acres of cropland. If she's not busy fixing a fence or running a tractor, she enjoys date nights with her husband and time with her kids. She tries to catch as many of their sporting events as possible. She also enjoys time with her beef cows and tries to read an occasional book if time allows. She owns two dogs Maya and Mandy and a random group of barn cats.
